Namsai, Sep 9: “The more you read, the more you will know. The more you learn, the more places you’ll go."
With this inspiration, the Chongkham Administration in collaboration with District Library Namsai, commemorated National Literacy Day by organizing a precis writing competition, based on a video screening today at Block Library, Chongkham, Namsai District.
Students from Government Higher Secondary, Secondary, and Upper Primary Schools enthusiastically took part in the event. 
The occasion was graced by the presence of the the Librarian, District library Namsai, Block Development Officer, Block Education Officer, teachers from various schools, , and members of Sai Haak Foundation, a local NGO dedicated to education of the underprivileged children. 
During the event, the district librarian encouraged students to become advocates for promoting library use for their academic growth, offering free library memberships to all attendees. 
This event marked the beginning of a collaborative effort between departments, which has led to Block Library Chongkham, being fully functionalized, wherein students can have access to plethora of books and study materials.
