NAMSAI, Jul 29:  

 

Parliamentary Secretary-Planning, AR, Personnel & Training Chau Zingnu Namchoom, today inaugurated the newly constructed APST Bus Station at Namsai in presence of DC Namsai RK Sharma among a host of employees and public.

                       

Hoping that the new facility will serve the commuters of the newly created district, Namchoom further emphasized on creation of more facilities like pay and use toilet, potable drinking water, resting shed and widening of roads near the Bus stand to accommodate the increasing demand of Namsai after becoming district headquarters. Deputy Commissioner Namsai directed the Station Superintendent to submit the further requirements immediately and also directed the EE PWD to start work for widening of the road.

                               

Later in the day, Namchoom also laid the foundation stone of “100 Bedded Boys Hostel” at Govt Higher Secondary School which is funded under centrally sponsored MsDP scheme of Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt of India.

                               

Earlier Namchoom alongwith DC and Head of Department also visited the ongoing construction sites of Multipurpose Cultural Hall and VKV School building and directed the EE PWD to complete both the works within current financial year.
