Itanagar, Oct 17: Namsai District secured second position with an amount of Rs 3 Lakhs for its innovation submission titled “Driving adoption of Soil Health Card” in the Use Case Challenge Awards under the Agriculture & Allied services theme. The recognition was conferred under the NITI for States platform hosted by The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in collaboration with NITI Aayog under the State Support Mission on October 9.
NITI for States (NFS) Use Case Challenge was organised between December 2024 and February 2025, the Challenge invited District Magistrates and Collectors from Aspirational Districts and Blocks to identify key local challenges, analyse them through data and design replicable interventions.
With over 250+ submission across six thematic areas : health and nutrition, education, agriculture and allied services, infrastructure, social development and financial inclusion with skill development, Namsai’s initiative stood out for its effective approach to promote sustainable farming practices and empower local farmers through the Soil Health Card.
