NAMSAI, Jun 10:  In a concerted effort to ensure lawful entry and residence within Namsai District, the Namsai District Police have intensified the checking and enforcement of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system. As a result of these ongoing operations, a total of 92 individuals found in violation of ILP regulations have been externed from the district.
In addition, three non-FIR cases have been registered in connection with ILP violations, highlighting the zero-tolerance stance of the district authorities towards any breach of the legal provisions governing movement and residency in the state.
The Namsai District Police reiterate that they unwavering  uphold the law and safeguard the rights and interests of the local population. Namsai Police in its statement appealed to all contractors, businesses, and private agencies to ensure strict compliance with ILP norms and  to obtain valid permits before bringing any skilled or unskilled workers into the district.
Adherence to ILP regulations is not just a legal formality—it is a shared civic responsibility aimed at preserving the cultural and demographic integrity of the region,stated a release.
