Itanagar, Jun 9: Namsai district is all set to host the two-day Civil 20 (C20) India 2023 Conclave on Diversity, Inclusion, and Mutual Respect beginning Saturday.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu, along with Speaker PD Sona, Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) Chairman S Gurumurthy, C20-India 2023 Sherpa Vijay Nambiar, Vivekananda Kendra Vice-President Nivedita R Bhide, among others,  will attend the inaugural ceremony.
The conclave is being organised by the Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, in collaboration with the Arunachal Pradesh government. More than 150 delegates from across the world are expected to participate in it.
The C20 conclave is a major event under India’s G20 Presidency that aims to initiate extensive dialogue and engagement with civil society organisations, policymakers and different government and non-government agencies.
C20 is one of the official Engagement Groups of the G20 that provides a platform for Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) around the world to voice the people’s aspirations to the world leaders.
The C20 Namsai conclave is set to extensively discuss the possibilities that the global community can come together in a world which is culturally, socially and economically diverse.
The conclave intends to give delegates from all over the world a forum to collaborate and exchange ideas as well as to academia and CSOs a way to participate in the G20 policy discussions. As part of experiencing the theme of the conclave and to enhance its vision, village visits will be arranged to designated localities and a grand meditation and prayer programme will be arranged at the Golden Pagoda.
National Coordinator for Working Group, DIMR and the Chairman, Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture, Dr Joram Begi expressed his confidence in conducting the grant event successfully with enthusiastic C20 organizing team members.
