MIAO, Jun 9: Forest personnel of the Namdapha National Park & Tiger Reserve, led by Field Director, Aduk Paron,  and Range Forest Officer, Gandhigram, Son Yowa Hade, demolished an illegally built structure near 40 mile (Burma Nallah) on the Miao-Vijaynagar road on Friday. The structure, deemed unauthorized, has been completely dismantled and destroyed.
Responding to recent claims made by Ngwazosa Yobin, President of Yobin Welfare Society (YWS)  who stated that the area where the structures were ransacked by Lisu miscreants on June  5 last, does not fall under Namdapha National Park, the authorities have clarified that this assertion is entirely false. According to official notifications issued by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh under No.CWL/8/83/5284-5360 dated May 12, 1983, and No.CWL/DI21(II/06-07/3253 3512 dated December 24, 2007, the 40-mile (Burma Nallah) area falls entirely within the core area of Namdapha National Park & Tiger Reserve. Consequently, the establishment of any structures within the core area is strictly prohibited.
As previously communicated, there are eight villages currently occupied by Lisu community that have been officially recognized and documented by the authorities. These villages fall within the boundaries of Namdapha National Park & Tiger Reserve, and a relocation package proposal has been forwarded to the Government of India. Until the relocation package is approved and implemented, no evictions or deportations will be carried out in these eight villages, and the settlers in these areas will not be disturbed by the Namdapha authority.
However, it is important to emphasize that the 40-mile (Burma Nallah) area is not among the aforementioned eight villages. Any new settlements or structures found in areas other than these eight villages will be subject to eviction measures, said Aduk Paron,  Field Director of Namdapha National Park & Tiger Reserve.
