TEZU, Nov 27: The NABARD-initiated Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) 2021-22 for Lohit district was launched by DC Marge Sora today in presence of all bankers of the district viz. SBI, APRB, CBI, Lead District Manager and other stakeholders.
NABARD DDM Nitya Mili informed that the bank prepares PLPs for each district of the country annually with the objective of facilitating the flow of institutional credit to priority sector activities including crop loans and term loans for agriculture and allied activities. The PLP projections serve as a basis for banks in preparing Annual Credit Plans and the theme for 2021-22 is ‘Collectivization of Agricultural produce for Enhancing Farmers' Income’. The potential for institutional credit to priority sectors in Lohit district for 2021-22 has been estimated to the tune of Rs.3203.52 lakh and in terms of potential for credit flow to agriculture sector including crop loans, it is approximately Rs.2401.07 lakh.
