Seppa, Jun 19: The State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kaling Moyong, held an important interaction meeting with party karyakartas of East Kameng district today at Seppa. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from key party leaders, elected representatives, and grassroots functionaries.
The meeting began with welcome speech delivered by Arun Flago, General Secretary of the East Kameng District BJP Unit.
Mandal Office Bearers from the four Mandals—8-Bameng, 9-Chayang Tajo, 10-Seppa East, and 11-Seppa West—actively participated in the program. Among the dignitaries present were legislators Hayeng Mangfi, Ealing Tallang, and Hawa Bagang, newly appointed Chairman of the Biodiversity Board, among others.
During the session, all four Mandal teams presented detailed activity and organizational reports to the State President. The meeting featured valuable speeches and discussions from the MLAs and senior karyakartas of the district unit.
District President Moik Bagang appealed to the State President to facilitate the successful construction of a permanent District BJP Office within the current tenure. He also called for full cooperation from all senior party members.
State Secretary Ashok Sangchoju provided insights into BJP’s organizational structure and emphasised the importance of teamwork—from Booth Level Committees (BLCs) to the state level. He highlighted that the BJP, being the world’s largest political party, boasts the highest number of MPs, MLAs, ZPMs, and corporators across the country, and urged members to take pride in this achievement and in being a part of the party.
Doba Lamnio, former ZPC and candidate from 8-Bameng, welcomed the maiden visit of Kaling Moyong after his induction as State President. He expressed strong confidence in securing a majority in the upcoming local body elections in his assembly constituency and East Kameng district.
Hawa Bagang extended his gratitude to the State President and the Chief Minister for entrusting him with the responsibility of Chairmanship. He reiterated that his earlier candidature was solely in the interest of the party and pledged to serve with full dedication.
Addressing the gathering, Ealing Tallang advised karyakartas not to leave the party during the upcoming Panchayat elections, assuring them of full support from the party leadership in addressing their basic needs.
Hayeng Mangfi also shared his remarks, appreciating the dedication of party workers and highlighting local development initiatives.
In his keynote address, Kaling Moyong thanked the district team for their warm hospitality and appreciated the sincere efforts of all karyakartas. He emphasized that the selection of Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen in the government is purely based on dedication and contributions to the party. He urged everyone to uphold the core BJP values of “Nation First, Party Second, and Self Last,” and to promote corruption-free governance. He further encouraged MLAs to widely publicize developmental work through public meetings and social media platforms.
The President also assured support from the party in non-BJP assembly constituencies, recognizing the strong and consistent efforts of Mandal Presidents and party candidates.
Later, State President Kaling Moyong and his team received a grand reception at Lemmi, Pakke-Kessang.
