PASIGHAT, May 2: Chief Engineer Project Brahmank, Padam Kumar today flagged off a Motorcycle Rally here from HQ Brahmank campus, in run-up to commemorate the 61st Raising day of Border Roads Organisation(BRO). The Motorcycle Expedition comprising of two teams will reach Tuting & Mechuka and will culminate their journey here at Hq Brahmank on May 7 next on the occasion of 61st Raising Day. All Covid protocols were observed during the flagging off ceremony.
The Motorcycle Rally aims to create awareness on Covid -19 safety protocols, Road Safety and precautions and also the role of Project Bramank in particular & BRO in general in the service of the people of the frontier state of Arunachal Pradesh and the Nation as a whole. Kumar, speaking on the occasion conveyed his best wishes to the riders and hoped that they will successfully carry out and complete the two-fold mission of awareness generation of Covid safety protocols & Road safety in their seven day expedition and contribute towards the collective fight against the virus. The CE said that public participation is key for success of any endeavour. The BRO was formed on May 7, 1960 to develop Border Connectivity & Infrastructure in remote areas of North East & North of the country. The day also recognizes the contribution of the personnel of BRO in building the Border Infrastructure braving the topographical & climatic challenges and towards the socio-economic growth. Medical Camp, Sainik Sammelan, felicitation of the Motorcycle Rally team members will be organized on May 7 on the occasion of the Raising Day at Brahmank HQ here ,observing all Covid protocols. The Motorcycle Rally was earlier flagged off from the state capital, Itanagar on May 1 by Health Minister, Alo Libang and reached Pasighat the same day. DIPRO
