ITANAGAR, Mar 24: A case of arson in Sanglo Putung-III village has resulted in the deaths of two individuals, who were burnt alive inside their residence. The victims have been identified as Ruhik Tame (26) and his mother Ruhi Yania (65).
According to police reports, the incident was first reported on March 23,  at 6:40 AM through a telephonic call informing authorities about a house fire in the village. Upon investigation, preliminary findings have pointed to Tash Nako (23), wife of the deceased Ruhik Tame, as a possible suspect in the case, informed SP Itanagar.
The police have registered a case under Sections 103/326(g) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the accused has been taken into custody for further interrogation.
Speaking on the matter, the Superintendent of Police, Itanagar, confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause and motive behind the incident. Authorities have assured a thorough probe into the case.
