ITANAGAR/ HOLLONGI, Apr 18:  As a part of the ongoing Fire Service  Week, a fire safety awareness training programme was held today at the Orion International School, Hollongi.
A team of fire fighters from Fire and Emergency Service, Itanagar conducted mock drills and shared significant measures to be used during such emergency situations. The fire officer elaborated the need for preparedness and mock drills and said that although one cannot predict a fire accident, but there is nothing better than being prepared and prevention is always the best bet. He further added that many buildings especially commercial establishments do not follow fire safety norms and these awareness camps go a long way during fire mishaps.
Extending gratitude to the team from Fire and Emergency Service, Principal of the school, Episia Tali said that such awareness campaign is helpful for students as well as for the staff. She also advised the students to follow the suggestions given by the fire officers to avoid untoward incidents during any kind of emergency. ES Newsdesk
