PALIN, Aug 18: As part of the concluding ceremony of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Meri Maati, Mera Desh Campaign in Kra Daadi district culminated with a special programme at Palin. It began with hoisting of National flag by DC (I/c) Higio Yame, which was followed by singing of National Anthem.
'Silaphalakam' acknowledging the names of 'Veers' from Kra Daadi who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation was inaugurated and ex-service members of the district were felicitated by the DC.
'Mitti Kalash' from each block, which will travel all the way to New Delhi for the finale program at Kartavya Path, were handed over by the respective BDOs to the DC. The Panch Pran Pledge, espousing the noble ideals for ushering in a developed, strong and united India was taken by all present.
The program ended with the plantation of indigenous plants as part of Vasudha Vardhan.
