PASIGHAT Apr 5: The six day developmental tour of Mebo MLA cum Advisor to Chief Minister, Lombo Tayeng concluded today in which he covered villages like Mer, Gadum-I, Gadum-II and his home village, Motum.
In the visit while living up to the expectation of his people, Tayeng sanctioned Rs. 30 lakhs for Gadum-II for flood control and drainages purposes, while at Gadum-II (new village), he sanctioned funds for Primary school extension and for setting up of 35 numbers of tube-well for 75 families to meet the basic water needs of the village. With the coordination of ADC, Mebo, CO, Namsing and Adi Baane Kebang, Jt. Secy. (HQ) and ABK Mebo Block President, Gaon Burah selection for Gadum-II was also finalized today. At Mer village which borders Assam, he assured to sanction funds for flood control and concern department has been directed to make proper assessment of the total fund requirements. While at his home village, Motum, he assured to grant funds for additional teacher quarters for GSS Motum and for drainage construction.
