Itanagar, May 29: In a goodwill gesture Kangong Taku, MLA 40 Geku-Mariyang  announced to donate Rs 5000 to each ASHA workers of Geku-Mariyang Sub-division in appreciation of their selfless service under the supervision of the medical department in monitoring COVID-19 positive cases, vaccination programme etc in rural areas inspite of all hardships. The legislator thanked and appealed to all the ASHAs to continue to render their services in the same manner during the pandemic for the betterment of society. The amount will be handed over to ADC Mariyang Dr Manjuly Komut who shall accordingly distribute to the ASHAs.
