NAMSAI, Aug 6: Bringing cheer to aspiring students in the region,  MLA-Namsai  Chau Zingnu Namchoom has pledged free admission for the first 50 students enrolling in the newly established Government Model Degree College (GMDC), Piyong, under Namsai District.
According to an official admission circular issued by the college on August 6, 2025, the admission process for the academic session 2025–2026 will begin from August 13-20 strictly through offline mode. Aspiring students have been advised to visit the DC’s office for admission-related assistance.
This announcement brings a ray of hope to many underprivileged students, as the MLA's initiative is expected to ease financial burdens and encourage higher enrollment. This move not only highlights MLA Namchoom’s commitment to education and youth empowerment but also marks a major milestone in the development of higher education infrastructure in Namsai.
