SEPPA, Oct 12: The 13-member team search team for missing everester Tapi Mra and his aid Niku Dao reached Yalik Camp on Wednesday evening after three days from Yorchum-- the confluence point of the Kameng and Wapriang Bu river after constructing a local bridge.
The team will trudge ahead to Yana camp on Thursday. To reach Camp-2 of Mount Kyarii Satam, the team has to cross Yangle Camp, Base Camp and Camp-1 in another 3-days, as per communication over Satellite Phone with everester Tagit Sorang and mountainer Taru Hai who are leading the 13-member team. This is the second attempt after the first search operation failed to reach Camp-2 and its vicinity where 3-Coil rope dumped last year was supposed to be searched.
Until and unless the search operation team reaches Camp-2 and its adjoining areas specially to identify the telltale 3-coil rope dumped during 2021, the search may cause dissatisfaction and more confusion to well-wishers of the missing everester, said the Tagin Cultural Society's Dosh Dasi in a press statement.
