NAGARLAGUN, Sep 3:With the help of Naharlagun police, Child Line Itanagar along with Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Labour Department rescued a minor girl child from D- sector Naharlagun on Saturday last. The girl,9, hailing from Karbi Anglong , Assam was kept as child labour.
Following a complaint from an unknown person about the child, authorities swung into action and accordingly reached the Kado Apartment, D- sector, Naharlagun, where they found that child tied to a railing in front of her employer’s room.
Police informed that the child was brought to Naharlagun by some unknown woman probably a broker and employed as domestic help at an Advocate’s house.
A case has been registered at Naharlagun police station in this regard.
