Itanagar, May 28: The Indian Chamber of Commerce has partnered a Ministerial Delegation from Arunachal Pradesh, India to Thailand from May 26 to 31, with the objective of promoting processed food items from the state.
Nagesh Singh, Ambassador of India welcomed the State Delegation led by Nyato Dukam, Minister, Trade and Commerce Department, Dr Mohesh Chai, MLA and Advisor to Minister, Saugat Biswas, Commissioner, Dept of Trade and Commerce, along with senior officials from the department. Opportunities fort rade and investment pertaining to the agri and horticultural sector were discussed in the meeting. The focus was on indigenous agri products and fruit wines being produced in Arunachal Pradesh. Some important organic produce of Arunachal Pradesh include Kiwi, Mandarin Oranges and Large Cardamon .
Nagesh Singh requested the delegation to connect with local importers and encouraged them to visit processing plants in Bangkok to seek avenues for technology transfer and mutual collaboration.
The State stall at Thaifex Anuga Asia, Bangkok was inaugurated by Minister Nyato Dukam. The stall showcases agro and processed food varieties of Arunachal Pradesh.
Dr Rajeev Singh, Director General, Indian Chamber of Commerce, observed that Thaifex Anuga Asia, Bangkok provides a strong platform for the food processing industry in Arunachal Pradesh and provides an opportunity to tap the ASEAN market.
Some prominent Indian companies displaying their products at Thaifex Anuga Asia Bangkok include Norphel Wines,Green Gold Integrated Farm,Neuli Enterprise and Cakes and Bakes.
