PASIGHAT, May 23: The 8th Edition of State Level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy on football and volleyball for boys and girls under 16 was kicked-off by Ojing Tasing, Minister Panchayati Raj Cooperation, Rural Development and Transport as Chief Guest here on Friday in the presence of Guest of honour, MLA Ninnong and a host of dignitaries.
The opening ceremony begun with floral tribute and then lighting of candle light at the portrait of Martyr Hangpan Dada; also present was the martyr’s wife.
The first football match was played between Kra Dadi and Lower Subansiri where the former won by scoring 2 goals to 1.
