LONGDING, Nov 11: Almost two weeks have passed but authorities are yet to trace one Manluk Lukham who was abducted by a suspected NSCN(U)  cadre from Pumao village of Longding district.
As per reports and  FIR lodged by relatives,  40- year-old Manluk Lukham of Pumao village was reportedly kidnapped by suspected NSCN(U) cadres led by one Self Style Corporal  Akhing Konyak and was taken towards Zangkham village of Nagaland on October 30 last.
 "We have delegated various sources to trace the abducted villager and have shared the information with the Nagaland police," informed Deputy SP of Longding. 
 He also disclosed that the militant group has demanded a ransom of Rs. 5 lakh for the release of Lukham. "If reports are to be believed, Lukham has been abducted by the militants on suspicion that he is an informant of the security forces," added the DSP.
 Police have registered case No. 46/2022 U/S 364 (A) IPC R/W Sec 10/13 UAP Act in connection with the incident.
