Namsai, Aug 23: A review meeting chaired by YVVJ Rajashekhar, IAS, Mentor Secretary was held today at Namsai. The meeting was attended by local MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Incharge Deputy Commissioner Nang Koliani Namchoom, Heads of Departments and district officials.
Rajashekhar in his remarks, urged the administration and all HoDs to focus on four critical sectors: Health, Education, NABARD initiatives, and Infrastructure development.
In health sector, he discussed issues over the shortage of human resources in the district hospital and suggested measures to address the issue.
Expressing concern over low performance in mathematics and languages, especially at the primary level, he directed the concerned HoD to collect data, identify gaps, and take corrective measures.
He reviewed the status of the crop insurance scheme in the district and discussed challenges related to its implementation and emphasized the need to accelerate ongoing development projects and achieve set targets within timelines.
