KHONSA, Jun 29:Chamthak Ralongham and Aboni Phukan were adjudged the winners of (Men’s Double) and Tingwang Hosai and Vincent Tongluk as runner ups of the 1st Kon Memorial Badminton Championship organized in honour of its martyr soldiers, RFN Bhagwan & RFN Nanwang S Konyak from June 23 to 27.

A total of 24 shuttlers from Assam Rifles including locals from Tirap District participated in the championship. Prizes to the winners were given away by Tirap Deputy Commissioner PN Thungon and Commandant, Khonsa Battalion, Assam Rifles amidst huge gathering.

Meanwhile DC Thungon including locals lauded the noble gesture of security forces which brought together youth of the region in channelizing their positive energy together to develop a spirit of sportsmanship and togetherness.
