ITANAGAR, Sep 9: In a dramatic turn of events,  a member of the Arunachal Against Corruption (AAC)  today  surrendered Rs.1 lakh at the Police Station, Itanagar while disclosing that the money was given to him by the former President of AAC Tarh Tahar and his team to withdraw his support from the 'Delhi Chalo' foot march.'
Sartam Tamo, was a core member of the Arunachal Against Corruption and had also shaved –off his hair during the 28 days sit-in protest at Tennis Court, Itanagar. Tamo revealed that, former President of AAC, Tarh Tahar and another member, Pomcho Tapuk Maru asked him to return with them to Itanagar. He further said that his mobile phone was taken away and that he had no idea about their intention.  "After returning to Itanagar I came to know about the cash involvement. They even offered me more money and urged me not to go to the media or to the police," Tamo said.

In what may corroborate allegations on the state government for attempting to derail the footmarch, Tamo said "How much cash Tarh Tahar and team have received I don’t know but I have heard that they were offered at least Rs 8 Crore and a government job for Tahar," claimed Sartam. 
He further informed that he will soon join the other team who are still continuing the foot march to Delhi against corruption prevailing in the state under the leadership of CM  Pema Khandu.
