ITANAGAR, Apr 22: As part of India’s G-20 Presidency, a C-20 Consultative Conference on the theme of "Diversity, Inclusion, Mutual Respect" was held today at the Banquet Hall in Itanagar, organized by the Arunachal Pradesh chapter of Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture. 
Attending the programme, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein appreciated the resourceful deliberations of the subject experts and the resource persons of today’s consultative conference on ‘diversity, inclusion and mutual respect’. Addressing the gathering during the inaugural session, he highlighted that Arunachal Pradesh ranks 12th in bio-diverse hotspots in the world, and houses one of the largest amalgamation of diverse spread of indigenous tribes, residing in peace and harmony.
Emphasising on the India’s G-20 advocacy around One Earth, One Family, One Future, Mein reinforced the significance of incorporating Diversity, Inclusion and Mutual Respect in a society to truly embody unity in diversity. To this effect, Arunachal Pradesh has long imbibed these vital aspects towards dwelling in peace co-existence and collectively advancing towards progressive heights, he said.
Mein further talked about the focused outlook of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh in tandem with Government of India’s commitment to accelerate development in Northeast India; towards uplifting various sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, connectivity, digital communication, and financial management of state resources. “The government's objective is to achieve all-inclusive and equitable development across all regions and tribes,” he said.
He further said that the state aims to be the topmost contributor towards Prime Minister Modi's vision of achieving zero carbon emissions by 2047 by minimizing the consumption of fossil fuels. And efforts are also being made to elevate quality of life across the border villages, through facilitation of basic amenities and resulting in reverse migration. The Deputy Chief Minister also suggested to host the upcoming C-20 Summit in Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh.
