Namsai, May 28: The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), and District Administration of Namsai and Tezu under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), conducted ‘One Day Mega Legal Awareness Programme’ in Namsai. 
The program witnessed active participation of a diverse audience, including village leaders, Self Help Groups, NGOs, stakeholders and the general public. The initiative aimed to impart valuable legal knowledge, ensuring citizens are well-informed about legal rights, entitlement and availability of free legal services. The Resource Persons covered a wide range of topics, including the role and function of Legal Services Institutions, the provision of free and competent legal services, and various schemes mandated by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).Participants were sensitized on various topics, on fundamental rights, Legal Services Mobile App, the NALSA Helpline Number (15100), the NDPS Act, and the Arunachal Pradesh Recording of  Marriage Act, 2008. Other important topics included the POCSO Act, 2012, the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2005, the Domestic Violence Act, 2005, the Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme, 2011, the POSH Act, and various Government Welfare Schemes. 
The programme was graced by the presence of Justice B.R. Gavai, Judge, Supreme Court of India, Justice Vijay Bishnoi, Chief Justice of the GauhatiHight Court & Patron-in-Chief, APSLSA, and Justice Suman Shyam, Judge, Gauhati High Court & Executive Chairman, APSLSA.
