Shergaon, Sep 30: A group of elderly women of Shergaon village called Ai Manepu inaugurated  the two day Mega Health Camp as chief Guest organized by the Sherdukpen Emplpyees Welfare Association (SEWA) in collaboration with Ramakkrishna Mission Hospital Itanagar, Heema Hospital Itanagar and TRIHMS Naharlagun at Shergaon in West Kameng,  today. A total of 865 patients benefited from the camp during the day.
The mega health camp has 11 specialisations covering most of the disciplines like Cardiology, Opthalmology, Medicine, ENT, Dental,  Paediatrics, Surgery, Dermatology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Radiology and special screening of Cervical Cancer. Normal OPD services, Eye Screening, ECG, Echocardiography along with free medicines.
The president SEWA Dr. Rinchin Dorjee Megeji said that it is still a challenge to get proper health facilities in many remote parts of Arunachal Pradesh, so the organization is trying to provide the facilities through such health camps. He also said that early detection is a good way to prevent severity of diseases. 
The 2nd day of the Health camp will be organized in Rupa, West Kameng. Total number of 15 doctors participated in the Health Camp. The organization is trying to cater to the elderly patients from remote villages of the west kameng.
Opthalmology team from Ramakrishna Mission Hospital is providing services like Eye screening and cataract operation which is very common among elders.
