Namsai, Oct 28: The Zilla Parishad-Level meeting of the Sectoral Working Committee on State Own Revenue Grants for the Financial Year 2026–27 was held at the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall, Namsai, to deliberate on sectoral priorities, revenue generation, financial planning and effective utilisation of available resources for the overall development of the district.
The meeting was attended by Chow Sujana Namchoom, Zila Parishad Chairperson(ZPC), Lobsang Tsering,Deputy Commissioner, Namsai, ADC-cum-District Panchayat Development Officer (DPDO), Nang K. Namchoom;  Zilla Parishad Members (ZPMs) representing Lekang, Piyong and Chongkham; Administrative blocks and Heads of Departments (HoDs).
The  ADC-cum-DPDO,  welcomed the elected representatives and departmental officials and highlighted the significance of the meeting in strengthening sectoral coordination and ensuring systematic financial planning at the Zilla Parishad level.
Addressing the gathering, Zilla Parishad Chairperson,  Chow Sujana Namchoom, emphasised the importance of collective participation and close coordination between elected representatives and departmental officials for effective implementation of developmental initiatives and optimum utilisation of available financial resources.
In his remarks, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for proper planning, inter-departmental coordination and judicious utilisation of funds to achieve the desired developmental outcomes. He further emphasised the importance of identifying sector-specific priorities and ensuring effective implementation of proposed activities during the financial year 2026–27.
