ITANAGAR, Jun 25: Mayor, Itanagar Municipal Corporation, Tamme Phassang has appreciated the medical fraternity for organising a Free Health Camp exclusively for the sanitary workers of the IMC. The health camp was held by the Management of Heema Hospital, Indian Medical Association-Arunachal Unit, Arunachal Pradesh Doctors Association, and Indian Dental Association-Arunachal Unit.
Inaugurating the health camp, the Mayor acknowledged the remarkable service provided by the medical fraternity and the Heema Hospital. He highlighted the crucial role played by the sanitary workers as the backbone of the city, who are often exposed to various health hazards due to their involvement in cleanliness-related tasks. Considering their modest income, it becomes challenging for them to afford medical expenses, he said. Mayor Phassang emphasized that this health camp would undoubtedly provide much-needed support and assistance to these hardworking individuals.
"For a clean city, the foremost requirement is the health and well-being of our staff, and they are the true heroes - the ground workers," stated the Mayor. 
CMD-Heema Hospital, Dr. Byabang Rana, informed that the Free Health Camp was organized with the primary objective of extending medical support to the sanitary workers of IMC. Numerous doctors and medical staff members from the Indian Medical Association - Arunachal Pradesh (IMA-AP), Indian Dental Association - Arunachal Pradesh (IDA-AP), and Arunachal Pradesh Doctors Association (APDA) have voluntarily come forward to support this event.
