ANINI, Oct 15: A massive mudslide caused extensive damage at New Anaya Village in Dibang Valley district on October 11-12 last. The district has been experiencing heavy rainfall since October 4 last.
The mudslide completely washed away 4 houses, horticulture and agricultural gardens. Government school compound was completely flooded thereby damaging 7 Teachers quarters, 2 classrooms, and other structures. Additionally, Anganwadi centre, veterinary dispensary and community hall was also damaged. However, no casuality was reported. Immediate relief was provided by the District Administration to the affected families.
