YINGKIONG, Aug 9:The Public Health Engineering & Water Supply Division, Yingkiong is conducting a weeklong mass awareness programme on water and sanitation at various villages under Jengging Circle which began at Moying government school today.

Similar programmes are scheduled at Karko, Jengging, Bomdo and Janbo village up to August 18next.

It is an attempt to materialize the government policies of educating the PRI members, ASHAS,  Anganwadi Workers, students, GBs and Public on water and sanitation. It further aims at rekindling mass awareness for ensuring lasting behavioural change and paradigm shift on living pattern of the people to achieve the goal of open defecation free
