ITANAGAR, May 10: Arunachal will soon be equipped with many sports stadiums, thanks to the Sports Authority of India (SAI), announced SAI executive director Hira Ballah who on Wednesday inaugurated the free badminton summer coaching camp organized by the Arunachal State Badminton Association (ASBA) at MLA cottage badminton stadium here.

Around 50 children falling in the age group of 6-13 years are participating in the camp.

Declaring the camp open, Ballah said that he was amazed to see the enthusiasm of the kids and hoped that they would go a long way in this field.

‘Arunachal has a lot of potential in sports irrespective of any particular discipline. All it lacks is good infrastructural facilities,’ this he said would soon be addressed by the SAI.

Sports Authority of Arunachal chairman Bamang Tago, SAI regional centre director Shubash Basumatary and director sports Tadar Appa were also present on the occasion.
