NAMPONG,  May 6:  In a shocking incident, Wonjam Kochong, 41, a resident of Khamkhai village in Nampong, Changlang district, was found dead inside a CRPF barrack on Monday. Kochong had been serving as a cook with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for several years.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, prompting serious concern among family members, who suspect foul play. They believe Kochong may have been murdered and are urging authorities to carry out a fair and thorough investigation.
The post-mortem examination is currently pending, which will help determine the exact cause of death.
Nampong Police registered a case under Case No. 01/25, invoking Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). An official investigation has been initiated and is ongoing. Further updates are awaited as the case develops.
