ITANAGAR, Jan 16: Jeju Institute based in Itanagar which found itself at the centre of the APPSC cash for job scam, today distanced itself from the controversy and warned legal action against those who blame the institute without any "iota of truth".
Addressing media persons at the press club on Monday, Management Coordinator  Jeju institute, Marpok Taji  claimed that the institute is nowhere involved in the  paper leakage scam in the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC). He also added that, one of the accused Akhilesh Yadav is not a regular faculty of the institute and was working as freelancer. "Moreover  another accused Thomas Gaduk as well as the complainant Gyamar Padang are also not part of the institute. They were taking guidance privately  under Akhilesh Yadav; whatever happened it is all between them and the institute has no involvement," asserted  Taji.
Marpok Taji, also informed that the Special Investigation Cell (SIC) didn’t mention  the name of Jeju Institute  in their charge sheet."The SIC had registered a case after receiving FIR from one Gyamar Padang against the institute on the basis that the institute is being run by Akhilesh Yadav, who is one of the accused in the case," he added.
The institute has no connection with the ongoing APPSC paper leak scam, even if some former/present students of the institute are found involved in the case. They must have used their personal channels to buy or sell examination paper, he added.
Further, he informed that the management of the institute has received many complaints from students that they are being trolled on social media just because they were/are students of the institute.  While appealing everyone not to troll aspirants/candidates of the institute on social media, he warned that institute may take legal recourse if there is an allegation without truth.
