Ziro, May 27: The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, in collaboration with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), will implement the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ across the country from May 29 to June 12 next.
For smooth and successful launch of ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ in  Lower Subansiri District, Deputy Commissioner Vivek H.P, chaired a meeting with the department heads of the Agri-Allied Departments today.
In the meeting, a micro-level planning has been made wherein roles and responsibilities of all the concerned officials including that of PRI members have been fixed to make sure the coming programme is effective, participatory and meaningful. In Lower Subansiri District, the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan will be launched by the Deputy Commissioner from Lempia General Ground on May 29.
The initiative aims to disseminate advanced, sustainable and profitable agricultural knowledge to farmers ahead of the upcoming Kharif season.
The meeting has been attended by Tasso Butung, District Agriculture Officer, Dr. Hage Munth, Senior Scientist & Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Lower Subansiri Distict and other officials from Agri-Allied Departments.
