Likabali, Nov 26:  Joining the nationwide celebration of Constitution Day, the Lower Siang District Administration organised an elaborate district-wide observance today, marked by active participation from all Heads of Departments (HoDs), government officials, educational institutions, staff, and students.
The programme, initiated by the Lower Siang District Administration, was conducted simultaneously across various government offices and academic institutions in the district. The event aimed to promote constitutional values, spread awareness about citizens’ duties, and highlight the significance of the Constitution of India as the guiding document of the nation. As part of the observance, officers and officials gathered to solemnly read out and take the pledge of the Preamble to the Constitution of India. 
The collective recitation reflected the district’s shared commitment to uphold the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Institutions across the district also conducted similar pledge-taking ceremonies, ensuring widespread participation from all sections of the community.
Speaking on the occasion, officials emphasised the importance of reaffirming constitutional responsibilities and strengthening democratic values at the grassroots level. The celebration also underscored the government’s efforts to encourage civic awareness among citizens, especially the youth, who play a crucial role in shaping the future of the nation.
Educational institutions marked the day by organising awareness activities, discussions, and interactive sessions to help students understand the relevance of the Constitution in everyday life. HoDs and school authorities highlighted the importance of nurturing informed and responsible citizens equipped with constitutional knowledge.
The Lower Siang District Administration expressed its appreciation to all departments and institutions for their active cooperation in ensuring the successful and meaningful observance of Constitution Day across the district.
