Roing, Sep 12: The 5th Rashtriya Poshan Maah was celebrated at Child Care Institution(CCI), Roing by the District Child Protection Unit(DCPU), Roing. 80 participants of Children’s Home, Specialized Adoption Agency(SAA), members of Child Welfare Committee and DCPU Roing participated in the programme.
Deputy Director (ICDS) Cum DCPO G. A. Perying shared about the launching of Rashtriya Poshan Maah in 2018 and its focus on the nutrition aspects among children and usefulness of locally available vegetables. She said that Poshan Maah also focuses on the children’s nutrition for proper growth and development.
Member(Child Welfare Committee) Neharika. S. Umbrey stressed on the importance of maintaining personal hygiene by children.
Protection Officer (DCPU) N. Meto briefed about Rashtriya Poshan Maah celebrated as National Nutrition Month in the month of September. The aim is to address the challenge of malnutrition and efforts towards good nutrition for women and children, he said. Chairperson (Nani Maria Society) Desai Linggi also spoke on the occasion.
