Deomali, July 2: PHE&WS, DoTCL & IT etc minister Wangki Lowang inaugurated four government infrastructure at Deomali in Tirap district in presence of Deputy Commissioner Tirap Taro Mize, SP Kardak Riba among others. The projects include Sub Treasury Office at Deomali, Bachelor barrack at Dirok gate and two 25m span bridges on the Mopaya to Kenon PMGSY road.
While congratulating the local area people, Lowang said that earlier the commuters of Kenon and nearby villages used to travelled via Margherita Assam to reach Deomali ADC’s office for official work due to non-availability of connecting road from Kenon to Mopaya. Moreover, the government department DDOs used to go to the Treasury Office at Khonsa for passing salary and other official bills including Treasury challan etc., so with these projects the people here will be benefitted to a great extent, he added.
Lowang also visited Government Primary School at Mopaya and responding to public memorandum announced Rs. 50 lakh for construction of school infrastructure.
