ITANAGAR, Mar 19: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) today in an emergency meeting took stock of the recent fire accident that occurred in Longliang under Lazu Circle of Tirap District.

The meeting held under chairmanship of Vice President (Admn.), AAPSU Meje Taku decided to organise a state-wide voluntary donation drive across all district headquarters to be spearheaded by  the respective District Students’ Unions and a team of central executive members \will also lead the donation drive in the capital from Monday next. The union has appealed to the state government and Tirap District Administration to provide succour to the victims immediately. It has also appealed to the state’s people to contribute generously for an early rehabilitation of the victims of the fire tragedy that took away two lives and ravaged 114 houses.

“The extensiveness of damage is huge and probably the biggest ever in our recent memory. Hence it is imperative that we all stand up together as fellow brethren in sharing the pain,” AAPSU General Secretary Tobom Dai said.
