LONGDING, May 25: Longding police arrested two people in connection with a burglary case and recovered Rs 17 Lakh reportedly stolen by them from the office of the Wancho Baptist Church Association.
In a press statement, Police informed that both the accused executed the burglary on May 16 last, by tearing apart the doors of two steel closets of the office of Wancho Baptist Church Association and took away an amount approximately Rs 17 Lakh.
On receiving information, Longding Police immediately started an investigation of the sensational case and the team worked meticulously day and night to crack the case. Based on the technical and human inputs, the team conducted raids at multiple locations and was able to nab both the accused.
Accused has been identified as Khonak Wangpan (30), professionally a clerk at WBCA, Yanlo center and Phelam Wangpan (25) who works as an attendant in the canteen of SBI Longding.
