ITANAGAR, Mar  4: Public of Longding filed a complaint to the Principal Secretary of Finance alleging that funds meant for development  are being misused by few individuals  by overlapping the same projects or by giving false information. They also appealed the state government to send Vigilance team in the district to unearth the truth and refrain from releasing bills.
Addressing reporters at the press club here on Saturday, one Manye Wangpan informed that various schemes were implemented without floating ‘Notice Inviting Tender’ for personal benefit leading to mismanagement of government funds in the district.
There are many road projects already  well  built under PMGSY which were again  sanctioned just to siphon off the funds.  Road projects  in the name of  Wangsuham and Lemphu area  nowhere exists in Longding district but these are the names of two individuals, alleged  Wangpan.
Meanwhile, one Ajee Wangsu informed that schemes under Construction of  School Ground at GPS Niaunu, Longding for Rs. 50 Lakhs has been executed manually before the sanction of the scheme and without following the guidelines of the Planning Department.
There are many projects like the approach road to a new settlement area Senua village , Tizancha Senua  village, etc, which  are already well connected with PMGSY but the same roads are being sanctioned again by the authorities, alleged Wangsu.
Various projects have been prepared against already existing locations which clearly proves malafide intention to misuse the funds which otherwise could have been used in other areas, he stated.
