TEZU, Jun 1: The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Lohit held Monsoon Preparedness Meeting under the chairmanship of Shashvat Saurabh,DC cum Chairman DDMA Lohit today.
The meeting was attended by Administrative officers, DDMA members, Incident Response Teams (IRT) of the district including representatives from Army, ITBP, Airport Authority of India, Tezu Airport and NHIDCL.
The chairman directed all the stakeholders to co-operate the District Administration in managing disasters like flood, fire, earthquake etc., as per the roles and responsibilities assigned to all concerned as per District DM Plan. He reiterated that the DM Act 2005 empowers District Administration to requisition any resources or manpower for effective management of disasters for public safety and relief. He further directed to submit the list of inventory of all the stakeholders and other central agencies to the District Administration to upload the same in IDRN portal and incorporate in DDMP.
All the stakeholders took part in the discussion and the central agencies assured to render all possible help to District Administration in the wake of emergencies.
