CHANGLANG, Feb 24: A day after the Special Task Force of the Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) recovered a huge cache of arms & ammunition and destroyed camp of ENNG insurgent group in Lungpang village of Changlang district, villagers today lodged a complaint claiming that the STF targetted civilian houses and labour camp causing huge damage. Among the signatories was the ZPM of Rima Putok Circle.
STF burnt down the houses of local villagers to ashes.We the elders and public strongly condemn such inhumane acts carried out by the STF. Such actions carried out by the STF were frightening, unexpected and beyond imagination.The STF has not only caused us insecurity and damage to the people but such act has dishonored the sentiments of its people which is irreparable, the statement read. 
Locals further called the entire information shared on social media as fabricated and a one sided story created by the STF under the guidance of SP Changlang. They claimed that they were unaware that the house burnt down by the STF was an insurgents camp as it was closely situated near the  PMGSY road New Langpang village.
We have other relevant information to share against STF if closely inspected.  
Furthermore, such activities should not take place which will create misunderstanding amongst the people and governance pertaining the safety & security of innocents’s lives, added the villagers in the complaint letter.
Meanwhile, villagers in a separate representation to the ADC, Jairampur urged for immediate compensation for the damage caused by the  STF, to ensure the safety and security of villagers in future  and  action against officials involved in the operation.
