Yingkiong, July 25: Minister of Health & Family Welfare, SJETA & WCD -cum-Local MLA  Alo Libang inaugurated  Public Information and Facilitation Centre at Yingkiong today  in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Shashvat Saurabh, ZPC Upper Siang Lumgeng Litin among others.
Appreciating the initiative, Libang lauded such innovative ideas for the larger interest of the public. Emphasising on proper utilisation of facilitation centre, he said that  it will go a long way in benefitting the public of Yingkiong as well as visitors from outside the district especially tourists to get all kinds of information and facilities at one point. He further advised the staff manning the centre to maintain good hospitality towards the public and provide proper counselling and help to people visiting the centre.
On the sidelines of the programme, the minister called upon the PRI leaders to play proactive roles in dissemination of information to people living in remote areas with the help of government officers of concerned departments especially in Agri allied activities as most of the people are not availing the schemes due to  lack of awareness and knowledge about such programmes. 
Deputy Commissioner Shashvat Saurabh, in his speech highlighted the objective of opening of Public Information and Facilitation Centre Yingkiong  and said the idea to set up the centre came up to   mitigate the public problem and to provide easy  and hassle free access to all kinds of government services including  information of all government schemes like Jan Suvidha in one place. 
Most of the time a person has to go from office to office to gather information about the plan and policies and  therefore, idea was to make a strategic location where they can get all information in a single place, the DC said. He also informed that the centre is connected through e-office and  all works will be paperless manned by the trained Public Facilitators and Nodal officers.
