ITANAGAR, Apr 19: A one day Legal Awareness Programmes at Baririjo, Upper Subansiri District was organised by Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS) and sponsored by Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), Itanagar. The program was attended by the Vice Chairperson Nabam Yahi Tad and Member Kago T Yassung.
The Vice Chairperson encouraged the participants to be self sustainable and on women rights. She also highlighted the importance of mother language and preserving folklore. 
CDPO Rimo Doni as a resource person spoke on government sponsored schemes for women and how to avail them. Resource Person Adv. Mijan Bui spoke on crime against women and how to approach protection officers.
More than 120 participants attended the programme including Circle Officer Miti Gongo, women ngo and Zilla members.
