Roing, Aug 19: The Lower Dibang Valley administration and the Department of Education today conducted an orientation workshop for Class 10 students of the district to improve their performance in the Board exams, at Roing. Altogether 269 students of government schools attended the workshop.
Free study material and list of core concepts were provided to all the students present. Subject teachers for Social Science, Science, Mathematics, Hindi and English delivered presentations on ways to utilise the distributed study material.
Deputy Commissioner Soumya Saurabh advised the students to study and put in an effort, taking advantage of the study materials provided. She expressed hope on the potential of the students and hoped for top performance in the future.
She also informed about the remedial measures taken to improve the performance of students like providing of free study materials and provision of Mid Day Meal to students of Classes 9 to 12 in Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools of the district, a step taken to keep the students in school and encourage learning in the classroom.
ADC Srinivas Sadi, DDSE Amih Lego, BEO Obang Langkam and school teachers were also present during the orientation programme.
