ZIRO, Jul 22: The Mobile tower located in Tajang village and its equipments were completely damaged due to a massive landslide triggered by heavy downpour on July 13 in Ziro valley badly affecting hundreds of consumers for last couple of days.
The tower is managed by ATC telecom infrastructure private limited, located at Guwahati. The consumers of the Tajang village and its adjoining areas are badly affected and facing lots of inconvenient since the collapse of the mobile tower.  
ATC Telecom infrastructure private ltd, cluster engineer, Samair Biswas informed that the tower constructed near the highway has been badly affected and all the equipments has been completely damaged rendering the tower functionless. 
All  telecom equipment like battery bank,power plant, BTS etc got completely  damaged and all network like Airtel and Vodafone are shutdown affecting the people of the village, he said.
The local consumers has appealed to the district administration and the company concern to immediately restore mobile network in the area. 
However the company officials cluster engineer, Samair Biswas has assured to restore internet and mobile facility by next week as necessary restoration and installation activities would be taken up soon. He appeal the local people and consumers to bear with the inconvenience for one more week.
