Khonsa, May 3: Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) School Khonsa brought laurels to the institution by delivering commendable performances at the 55th KVS Regional Sports Meet (RSM) 2026 under the Tinsukia region, held at Itanagar.
The prestigious event, titled “KVS Tinsukia Regional Sports Meet”, witnessed the participation of over 300 students from more than 30 Kendriya Vidyalayas across Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur, showcasing remarkable talent and sportsmanship.
Representing KV Khonsa, the following students secured notable positions:
Tumlan (Village: Upper Kolam) clinched Gold Medal in Boxing (48–50 kg, Boys Category).
Wangkia Wangsu (Village: Chasa) secured Silver Medal in High Jump (U-19 Boys Category).
Wangkia Wangsu also bagged Bronze Medal in 800 meters race (U-19 Boys Category).
The achievements of these young athletes have brought pride and recognition to KV Khonsa and the Tirap district. Their success reflects dedication, discipline, and the spirit of sportsmanship nurtured by the school.
