Kurung Kumey, Sep 30: As part of the nationwide celebration of Seva Parv 2025, the Kurung Kumey District Administration organized a series of activities across the district, with enthusiastic participation from students and youth.
A key highlight was a painting competition among school children, where young participants creatively expressed their ideas on service, nation-building, and cultural pride. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner commended the students and youth for their spirited involvement, noting that their creativity and enthusiasm symbolize the bright future of Kurung Kumey. He further called upon citizens to channel this energy into initiatives that strengthen community bonds and contribute to a culturally vibrant and developed India.
The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, is celebrating Seva Parv 2025 from September 17 to October 2, as a festival of service, creativity, and cultural pride. Inspired by the vision of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Viksit Bharat by 2047, the initiative seeks to encourage collective participation by communities, institutions, and individuals in the spirit of Sewa (service), innovation, and cultural identity.
The celebrations in Kurung Kumey will continue until October 2, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a day that embodies the ideals of service and selfless contribution to the nation.
