ITANAGAR, Jul 25: Koncho Tashi, AFC Level-1 Futsal Coach from Arunachal Pradesh has been appointed as Assistant Manager of Indian National Sr. Men's Futsal Team which is going to participate in its maiden Asian Futsal Championship (Qualifiers) in Tajikistan in September.
Koncho, son of Leki Phuntsok and Phurpa Drema originally hails from Gyankhar Village of Tawang District.
A LNIPE (Gwalior) alumni, he participated in National Club Futsal Championship earlier this year as Head Coach of Itanagar based club, Capital Complex FC.
Kipa Ajay, Treasurer, AIFF cum Honorary Secretary of APFA in his congratulatory message said, " We are very happy to hear the news of his(Koncho's) appointment as one of the officials of the National Team. It's a huge achievement and big day for entire state. We are sure that his experience with National Team will help Futsal grow in much better way in our state in days to come."
Kipa Takum, Sr. Vice President and Chairman of Capital Complex FC also extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Koncho on his appointment.
Koncho is currently associated with APFA as Asst. Manager of its Futsal and Grassroots Development Committee.
