ITANAGAR, Oct 30: The Kargu-Kardi Welfare Society (KKWS), an area based welfare society covering Tirbin Circle, Liromoba, Circle, Yomcha Circle, Darak Circle, Kamba Circle, Rusi-Kesi, Dumporijo with functioning units at Aalo, Basar, Likabali, Pasighat, Tezu, Namsai etc. wherever the Kargu-Kardi denizen reside temporary or permanent, has observed Two Days General Body Meeting-Cum-Conference at Kargu-Kardi Heritage, Lekhi, Naharlagun from October 28-29 last.
The events were participated by the representatives of all community based organisations within Kargu Kardi areas including the pioneers of the then organization known as Kargu-Dere in the year 1970, the founder Secretary Lijum Ronya, Ex-Minister, Raksap Yomcha, IPS, (Retd DIG) the then Convenor, Dr. J.M Boje, former President, GWS, and many more dignitaries from the Kargu Kardi areas including the Kargu Kardi Student’s Union (KKSU).
The two days events were organized in a befitting manner by the Organizing Chairman Marba Yomcha and team wherein an event of reorganization to the founder pioneers of the society and bonafide members who had significant untiring roles in uplifting the society by felicitation. The event was mostly focused on the welfare of its bonafide members; as such several prominent resolutions were adopted in the General Body Meeting, which includes the resolution emphasizing the education within Kargu Kardi areas for betterment of the KK Students.
The two days Conference cum General Body Meeting concluded with selection of new office bearers for session 2022 to 2025, headed by Bajab Jilen as President, KKWS and Kali Bogo as General Secretary. The Oath of Affirmation was administered to new Central Office bearers of the KKWS by the outgoing president Toyi Raksap followed by handing and taking over.
